Thank You Toronto!

Thanks to A Good Book Drive there was no time for the blahs this February. Spearheaded by Lana Gay, this city-wide initiative raised close to $1000 and 3198 books!

Many familiar faces shared books that inspired their love of reading, all in support of The Children’s Book Bank. Nothing brings people together better than books, and The Good Book Drive is certainly proof of that. Thank you Toronto!

A very special thank you to Lana’s amazing team of friends and helpers, particularly Colton Eddy (book gatherer extraordinaire), Algoma Orchards for the apple crates, the locations that hosted a collection box, and photographers Vanessa Heins, Jessica Blaine Smith, and Katherine Holland.

Thank You!

Book of the Month – March

The book of the month for March is “Pippi Longstocking” by Astrid Lindgren. Based in a small Swedish town, “Pippi Lockstocking” is about a mischievous little girl who lives alone (with a monkey and a horse), and just happens to have superhuman strength. Pippi is an iconic character that marches to the beat of her own drum. Join us and read about all the trouble this spirited little girl gets into!
